Frederic De Wispelaere

Frederic De Wispelaere is currently senior research associate at HIVA-KU Leuven. He holds a Master in Business Administration (EHSAL – Brussels) and a Master in corporate law (Ghent University – Law Faculty). He is currently involved in the Network Statistics on free movement of workers, social security coordination and fraud and error. This network is set up by the European Commission DG EMPL to collect and analyse statistics and administrative data on those three fields. Within this network he is among others responsible for the annual report on the posting of workers. Furthermore he has published several papers and reports on the use and impact of posting from a perspective of sending and receiving Member States.

prof. Danny Pieters

Danny Pieters is Ordinary Professor for Comparative and European Social Security Law at the Catholic University of Leuven, Secretary-general of CELSA and President of the Federal Deontological Commission of the Belgian Parliament. In 2010 he was elected senator and subsequently speaker of the Senate of Belgium. He has vast experience in training projects as well as research projects concerning social protection throughout Europe. He regularly acted as consultant for the institutions of the EU, the Council of Europe, and many national administrations and governments. Professor Pieters is the author of several books and articles in the field of European and comparative social security law. His bibliography contains nearly 300 publications.

prof. Aukje van Hoek

University of Amsterdam

Aukje van Hoek is professor of private international law and civil procedure at the University of Amsterdam. She is a recognized expert in the field of private international law, specifically in the area of transnational employment. With Mijke Houwerzijl she published two comparative reports on the implementation and application of the posted workers directive. She participated in several other European studies: on transnational company agreements and collective actions in labour law, but also on international insolvencies, mediation and civil procedure. She was a member of the Dutch standing advisory commission on private international law and is a honorary justice in the court of appeals of ‘s Hertogenbosch where she sits on employment cases.
