Sjoerd Feenstra, one of the main negotiators of the legislative initiative on the enforcement of the Posting of Workers Directive on behalf of the European Commission, will be the guest of the II European Labour Mobility Congress.

Sjoerd is currentely the Legal Advisor to the Director, DG Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion, Directorate B – Employment and Social Legislation, Social Dialogue.
He has joined the European Commission in 1998 after having worked as senior consultant for Ernst & Young and PriceWaterhouseCoopers.

Sjoerd studied law in Groningen (NL) and has a Master in Public Law as well as Social and Economic Law and postgraduate diplomas in European Studies, Institut des Hautes Etudes Européennes, Strasbourg (FR) and European Tax Law, Erasmus University Rotterdam (NL).

Sjoerd Feenstra will speak during the plenary session, held on the first day of the Congress (7 April).
