The next edition of the biggest recurring event in Europe dedicated to the delegation of employees under the free movement of services on the European market will be held on 24 and 25 October in Kraków. Visit the IV European Labour Mobility Congress.

This time round, the main theme of the Congress will be the Mobility Pack, which contains an amendment to the basic directive on employee delegation, and in the long term, changes to the policy of determining the governing law for delegated employees. We would like our distinguished guests, who will include representatives of the European Commission, the Polish government, the Social Insurance Institution, the Court of Justice of the European Union, the trade unions and employer organizations, to present you with their positions and refer to the key issues related to this matter of such high priority to our country. For Poland, as Europe’s largest services exporter, it is of extreme importance where the proposed changes will be headed.

Some of the attention will also focus on issues related to the functioning of the implementation directive, to be transposed into the legal systems of the Member States on 18 June this year. There will be an opportunity to take a closer look at the records made in the Polish legislation, compare them with those of other Member States, as well as discuss any confusion related to their implementation, especially during the second day of our meeting, which is more of a workshop.

As every year, we will try to provide you with the most current, practical and reliable knowledge on the proper understanding of the current regulations concerning employee delegation and information about the changes (both those already implemented and those in the legislative process) which will affect the free movement of services on the European market in the near future.

“The presence of Commissioner Thyssen at last year’s edition proved that the European Labour Mobility Congress we organize plays an important role in the European debate on employee delegation. Our opinions and expertise are highly regarded by members of the Polish government, MEPs, employer organizations and entrepreneurs themselves.” Says Stefan Schwarz, President of Labour Mobility Initiative.
