Our invitation to speak at the II European Labour Mobility Congress has been accepted by Mijke Houwerzijl, Ph.D., professor of Labour Law at Tilburg University who will participate in the plenary session, held on the first day of the Congress.

Mijke Houwerzijl, Ph.D. holds as well a chair in Comparative and European Labour Law at the University of Groningen. In 2005, she completed her doctorate on the background, content and implementation of the Posting of Workers Directive at Tilburg University.

She has written widely on Dutch and EU labour law, employment law and social policy, with an emphasis on issues concerning workers mobility, labour migration and enforcement of labour law. She was recently involved as a lead researcher and coordinator in three major commissioned research projects of the European Commission on the legal aspects of posting of workers.
