This year’s Congress will provide a unique opportunity to meet with the key European experts in the field of posting of workers. We start presenting the Congress speaker profiles with the introduction of Ms. Kristin Schreiber.

In 2011, Kristin Schreiber was named Deputy Head of Cabinet of Michel Barnier, Commissioner for Internal Market and Services. Currently she is responsible for the Internal Market Information System (IMI)

Ms. Schreiber studied International Relations, Economics and European Law and received a Diplôme de l’Institut d’études politiques de Paris „avec mention lauréat” in 1986. She also holds an M.A. in European Studies (Economics) from the University of Kent at Canterbury, and has a Diploma of Advanced European Economic Studies from the College of Europe in Bruges.

Before joining the Cabinet of Comissioner Barnier Ms. Schreiber served among others as a Member of the Cabinet of the European Commissioner for Competition (Karel Van Mier) and the Cabinet of the European Commissioner for Enlargement (Günter Verheugen). In 2004 she became Head of Cabinet for Vladimir Špidla, Commissioner for Employment, Social Affairs and Equal Opportunities.
